Port of Aberdeen has featured on The One Show on the BBC in a segment focusing on the port's pioneering work to go green.

The show highlighted how Port of Aberdeen is "making waves" in sustainability having undergone a "major upgrade".

During the piece, Innovation Project Manager Holly Allan, took viewers through the port's emission-slashing initiatives, including the installation of shore-power connection ports to allow ships to plug-in and use electricity rather than burning fossil fuels for power.

Harbour Master Benji Morrison told the programme: "We are future-proofing the port for sustainability."

The port shared the segment of the show on social media.

Back in August, Port of Aberdeen landed the Sustainable Supplier Award at the 2025 Scottish Green Energy Supply Chain Awards
