STV Radio presenters Ewen Cameron and Cat Harvey are set to soften the looming end of the summer holidays for one lucky Scottish school – by bringing a live pop concert to their assembly hall.

The much-loved duo, who co-present Ewen and Cat at Breakfast on STV Radio, announced a prize draw in support of the STV Children’s Appeal on their show this morning (Monday), which will bring some of Scotland’s finest musical talent to the winning school for an exclusive gig later this year.

Schools across mainland Scotland can enter by registering on the STV Children’s Appeal website and hosting a fundraising event – big or small – for the charity’s Big Scottish Breakfast campaign. The prize draw runs until 5pm on September 11.

The Big Scottish Breakfast, in partnership with Kellogg’s, encourages Scots to get together with friends, family, colleagues or classmates to share breakfast and raise funds for the Appeal. Kellogg’s will match every £1 raised* up to the total of £50,000. Every penny raised will fund school breakfast clubs throughout Scotland and help tackle child hunger.

To get prepared for the concert and find out who Scotland’s schoolkids might want to see headlining the bill, Ewen and Cat dusted off their own school uniforms and invited some pint-sized pals to join them for a Big Scottish Breakfast filled with cornflakes and chaos.

Ewen said: “Cat and I had the best morning launching the Big Scottish Breakfast school prize draw. She always says I’m an overgrown schoolboy, so at least I finally looked the part! We know lots of kids listen to us with their mums, dads and guardians every morning, so we need all our wee pals to let their teachers know about the prize draw and get fundraising for this brilliant cause.”

Cat said: “A pop concert in your assembly hall? I would have loved that when I was wee! This is going to be so much fun, and I can’t wait to find out which school is going to win this amazing prize. One of the wee girls we shared breakfast with said she’d like to see Sabrina Carpenter top the bill, and although major American pop princesses may be trickier for us to pin down, we can guarantee it’s going to be a day to remember for the winning school. And every penny raised supports school breakfast clubs, so it’s win-win!”

One entry is allowed per school, entries must be submitted by a member of school staff, must be over 18 and must have authorisation of the principal or head of school before entering. Find full terms and conditions at stv.tv/appeal.

Ewen and Cat at Breakfast airs weekdays on STV Radio from 6 – 10am.

*Kellogg’s Marketing and Sales Company (UK) Limited will match and donate up to £50,000 of funds raised by the STV Children’s Appeal’s Big Scottish Breakfast fundraising campaign in 2026.
