Protea, the Aberdeen-based consultancy that supports energy, engineering, project management and construction businesses on a fractional basis, has marked its first anniversary with the launch of a new brand identity and website and announced the development of an AI-powered contract review platform.
Founded in 2025 by Beth Towsey, Protea provides senior contract management, supply chain, legal counsel and commercial expertise to businesses on a fractional and ad hoc basis giving organisations access to specialist capability without the overhead of a permanent hire.
The rebrand reflects the evolution of the business over its first year of trading. What began as a fractional contract management consultancy has grown into a multi-specialist practice with capability across contract management, supply chain and procurement, legal counsel and operational commercial support, and is now building technology to complement its advisory services.

The platform will allow organisations to identify contractual risk, obligations and commercial exposures quickly and clearly translate complex contract language into actionable operational insight.
