QHSE ABERDEEN, a CQI & IRCA Approved Training Partner (ATP), has received approval from the International Register of Certificated Auditors (IRCA) to deliver the new ISO 14001:2026 Lead Auditor Conversion Course, further expanding its portfolio of internationally recognised management systems training.

Unlike a traditional five-day Lead Auditor programme, the three-day Conversion Course enables delegates to build upon their existing auditing competence and gain the knowledge and skills required to conduct Environmental Management System (EMS) audits against ISO 14001:2026. This streamlined approach reduces training time while maintaining the rigorous auditing principles expected of IRCA-certified auditors.

The course has been designed to equip delegates with the competence to plan, conduct, report, and follow up environmental audits, while also helping them understand the key characteristics of an efficient and effective Environmental Management System. Particular emphasis is placed on the Lead Auditor's role in supporting continual improvement, environmental performance enhancement, and organisational compliance.

The updated ISO 14001:2026 standard reflects the growing importance of environmental sustainability within modern organisations. New and enhanced requirements are expected to strengthen the consideration of climate-related issues, organisational resilience, stakeholder expectations, environmental risks and opportunities, and the integration of environmental objectives into strategic business planning.

As businesses face increasing regulatory, customer, and stakeholder demands regarding environmental performance, the role of competent environmental auditors has never been more important. Effective auditing provides organisations with valuable insight into the performance of their Environmental Management Systems and helps identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency gains, and risk reduction.

Through a combination of expert-led instruction, practical exercises, case studies, and audit scenarios, delegates attending the course will develop the knowledge and confidence required to audit against the latest edition of ISO 14001 and contribute to the continual development of their organisation's EMS.

The approval from IRCA reinforces QHSE ABERDEEN's commitment to delivering high-quality professional training and supporting the development of competent auditors across a range of management system disciplines.

As environmental management continues to rise on the corporate agenda, QHSE professionals have an opportunity to broaden their auditing expertise and gain an internationally recognised Environmental Lead Auditor qualification through QHSE ABERDEEN's IRCA-approved training programme.
