QHSE Aberdeen is delighted to announce the appointment of Fiona FitzGerald as the company’s new Head of Operations.

Fiona joins the business with an exceptional background in Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental leadership, bringing with her a wealth of industry knowledge, operational expertise, and strategic insight gained over an impressive career; spanning multiple internationally recognised organisations.

Prior to joining QHSE Aberdeen, Fiona served as Director of Evolve Consulting for more than five years, where she successfully led consultancy operations, supported organisational growth, and delivered high-impact solutions across a diverse client portfolio.

Before this, Fiona held the role of Principal Consultant at DNV, one of the world’s leading assurance and risk management organisations, where she played a key role in supporting businesses to achieve operational excellence, compliance, and continual improvement across complex industries.

Fiona has also made significant contributions to the industry through her involvement with Step Change in Safety, where she co-chaired the “Major Accident Hazard Understanding Workgroup”, developing impactful resources delivered to the front-line to help keep the energy workforce safe.

“My time at Evolve Consulting gave me the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and challenges, which I found incredibly rewarding. I particularly enjoyed helping organisations simplify complex issues and build practical solutions that worked for both leadership teams and the workforce.”

“During my time with DNV, I supported organisations seeking to strengthen their management systems, improve risk understanding, and embed continual improvement into day-to-day operations. It was a fantastic opportunity to work alongside talented people across multiple industries and learn from a wide range of operational environments”

“Throughout my career, I have been passionate about continual improvement, and the role robust management systems play in supporting sustainable business performance. I strongly believe international standards should be utilised as strategic frameworks for risk management, operational resilience, and organisational learning — not simply as mechanisms for demonstrating conformance. When embedded effectively, they enable organisations to make better decisions, strengthen governance, and drive meaningful long-term improvement.”

Fiona’s appointment marks an exciting chapter for QHSE Aberdeen as the company continues to strengthen its position as a trusted provider of QHSE support and ISO certification expertise. Her extensive experience, respected industry reputation, and passion for operational excellence make her an outstanding addition to the leadership team.

The team at QHSE Aberdeen is excited to welcome Fiona and looks forward to the expertise, innovation, and leadership she will bring to the organisation and its clients.
