Aberdeen Performing Arts has announced that Rachel Harris will join the organisation as its new programmer, taking up the post from February 2026.
Rachel will join the programming team booking shows and events for His Majesty’s Theatre, the Music Hall and the Lemon Tree, as well as five annual festivals.
Aberdeen Performing Arts Head of Programming, Steven Milne, commented: “We’re very happy to welcome Rachel to the team. Her programming experience, passion for the Scottish arts sector and her clear understanding of artists and audiences will add real strength across our venues, festivals and creative engagement activities.
“We’re all very much looking forward to working with her here in Aberdeen.”

Rachel brings over ten years of experience across the Edinburgh Fringe and major Australian festivals. Her most recent role was Programmer and Producer for Assembly Festival, the longest-running multi-venue operator at the Edinburgh Fringe.
She curated and managed a programme of more than 240 productions each summer, producing a range of shows across the Fringe. She has also travelled widely as an international arts delegate, taking part in panels promoting the Edinburgh Fringe and the Scottish arts sector.
