Aberdeen-based rahd.AI has been invited to speak at a flagship technology event hosted by The Times and The Sunday Times in partnership with Opportunity North East and the Scottish National Investment Bank.
The conference – The Future of Digital Tech – takes place in Aberdeen on 4 November and will bring together founders, investors and policymakers from across the UK to explore how digital innovation is reshaping industry and society.
Rahd.AI Chief Operating Officer Innes Grant will join the “EnergyTech as a Catalyst for Industrial Transformation” session alongside COMET CTO Arrash Nekonam and Prism Energy founder Andy Sutherland.
The panel will examine how technologies pioneered in demanding offshore environments are now driving efficiency, compliance and safety across a wider range of sectors, from manufacturing to logistics.
Founded in Aberdeen, rahd.AI is building an advanced artificial intelligence platform to tackle one of the energy sector’s biggest challenges – decommissioning.
Its platform combines AI, data analysis and automation to help operators make faster, safer and more cost-effective decisions about dismantling offshore assets.
By reducing risk and uncertainty in complex projects, the company is aiming to position the North Sea as a global leader in responsible decommissioning practices.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Grant said: “Aberdeen has decades of experience solving high-stakes industrial challenges, and we see AI as the next wave of that expertise.
“At rahd.AI, we’re proving that technology developed here can deliver real impact not just in energy, but across industries facing similar pressures.”
Other speakers at the Times/Sunday Times event include Revolut chair Martin Gilbert, Opportunity North East chief executive Jennifer Craw, and leading AI investor Professor Andy Pardoe.
With more than 300 digital tech businesses and 4,800 skilled roles already established in the region, organisers say the summit will showcase Aberdeen as one of the UK’s fastest-growing technology clusters.
