Reach Subsea has sea-launched the first unit of its Reach Remote fleet of uncrewed 24-meter surface vessels (USVs), which will, as the Norwegian company says, “revolutionise offshore subsea operations, aligning with sustainability initiatives”.
The first Reach Remote unit was sea-launched on Monday, March 25. According to Reach Subsea, the team will now proceed with HAT and prepare for SAT.
“With all the dedication and effort from our team, I am thrilled to announce that we have successfully launched our first Reach Remote vessel!” said Bjørg Mathisen Døving, VP of Reach Remote.
“This achievement signifies a significant milestone for Reach Subsea. Together, we have turned our ambitions into reality, and I am immensely proud of what we have accomplished. I am excited to see where this journey takes us next. Congratulations to everyone involved!”
The Reach Remote fleet features hull-mounted survey sensors and a work-class electric remotely operated vehicle (ROV). The vessels are scheduled for deployment this year.
