In celebration of Gardening Week, hosted from April 29 to May 5, 2024, independent housebuilder Dandara has donated seed bombs to Hazlehead Primary School as part of its campaign to celebrate gardening.

This year’s gardening week theme, ‘Knowledge is Flower’, aims to raise awareness of the difference that gardening can make in the lives of everyone, helping to inspire the next generation of gardeners to experience the joy of creating and growing green spaces.

The donation will provide valuable support in enhancing the school’s gardens, encouraging pupils to participate in outdoor activities and engage in a meaningful project as the warmer months approach. The seed bomb kit benefits from 27 different types of pollinator friendly wildflowers, helping to enhance biodiversity in outdoor areas.

Barbara Jones, Head Teacher at Hazlehead Primary School said: "We're currently developing our school gardens here at Hazlehead Primary School, so the offer from Dandara to donate seed bombs couldn't have come at a better time. We're looking forward to getting the pupils out into the gardens and watching them reap the rewards of planting over the coming months!"

Claire Bathgate, Head of Sales at Dandara Aberdeen, commented: “We are pleased to support the Hazlehead Primary School with their efforts to encourage pupils to spend more time outdoors and learn about gardening. The seed bombs are a great way to help make outdoor spaces blossom and we hope that the pupils enjoy planting them and watching them bloom!”

Dandara is currently selling homes at The Grange where a collection of four and five bedroom homes are available. Prices start at £454,995 for a four bedroom detached Maple home with garage.
