Residence Inn by Marriot Aberdeen opens its doors to business and leisure guests

After two years of construction and a multi-million pound investment, Residence Inn by Marriott expands in Scotland with a second hotel in Aberdeen city centre.

The new property is a key part of the exciting new Marischal Square development by Muse Developments, ideal for visitors who want to be based close to the city’s most popular haunts.

Residence Inn Aberdeen is the first city-centre hotel dedicated to the extended-stay market and its 126 well-appointed suites offer guests a home-away-from-home experience with fully equipped kitchen facilities and comfortable living and sleeping areas.

Guests also benefit from a 24-hour lobby, buffet breakfast, restaurant and WIFI access, as well as extra perks such as an on-site Grab’n Go market, shopping delivery service, gym facilities, and a free self-service laundry facility – catering perfectly to longer stays.

And for those looking to socialise or network, regular Residence Mix nights with drinks and canapés in the reception area will create a welcoming, community atmosphere.

Speaking about the new opening, Chris Wayne-Wills, north cluster general manager at Marriott, said: “We are delighted to unveil the new property and be able to provide our guests with a vibrant experience that truly fits their needs. The Residence Inn by Marriott Aberdeen will attract a wide range of business and leisure visitors thanks not only to its fantastic city-centre location, but also its upscale connectivtivy, convenience and elements of a modern home.”

Residence Inn is the fourth Marriott International hotel in the city, joining the existing Aberdeen Marriott Hotel, Courtyard by Marriott Aberdeen Airport and MOXY Aberdeen Airport.

Andrew Martin, vice-chair of Aberdeen City and Shire Hotels Association, said: “The Aberdeen City and Shire Hotels Association welcome this new entrant into our marketplace, as this offers our tourists greater choice in the accommodation styles and options available across the region.”
