Return for event linking Scottish and Australian energy hubs

A business event linking key energy hubs in Scotland and Australia will return to Aberdeen next week.

On the back of the resounding success of the inaugural Aberdeen-Perth, WA Gateway in 2016, Granite PR will host the second forum at Macdonald Norwood Hall, Aberdeen on December 5.

Once again, the one-day event will provide a platform for international networking, knowledge sharing and discussion. It will again be held in association with the Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference, and The Government of Western Australia whose European Office Agent General, John Atkins will head an impressive line-up of speakers and messages including:

  • * Aberdeenshire Council
  • * Aberdeen City Council
  • * Matt Thomas, ASCO
  • * Guy Bromby, ThinJack Ltd
  • * Sally Cassidy, Traveleads Travel Management
  • * David Blades, Qantas Airways Ltd
  • * Bill Hare, Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference
  • * Jemma Green, Deputy Lord Major of Perth, WA
  • * Ewan Robertson, Walker Technical (an ICR Company)

Managed by Business Plus Scotland, the Aberdeen-Perth WA Gateway builds on the success of the now well-established annual Aberdeen-Houston Gateway and Aberdeen-Norway Gateway by offering an international bridge to link two leading energy hubs. It is also hoped that it will act as a springboard to further strengthen the links between the locations as well as facilitating additional opportunities between participating businesses.

Commenting on plans for the second Aberdeen-Perth, WA Gateway event creator and Granite PR founder/managing director Brett Jackson said: “The success of last year’s inaugural Australian event was a clear demonstration of the appetite which exists to forge and grow links between these two locations.

“We look forward to welcoming speakers, delegates and supporters for another stimulating event which promises to offer a diverse range of opinion, perspective and the opportunity to connect.”

The Aberdeen-Perth, WA Gateway is supported by Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, ASCO, Australasian Oil & Gas Exhibition and Conference, Business Angus, City of Perth WA, Energy Voice, ICR Integrity Ltd. Macdonald Hotels & Resorts, Press & Journal, Qantas Airways Ltd, Scottish Development International, The Government of Western Australia, ThinJack Ltd, Traveleads Travel Management.
