RGC Camps is celebrating a successful first year after delivering over 700 hours of fun, engaging holiday camps to more than 400 families across the region.
Launched in 2025, the RGC Camps brand was created to extend the College’s long-standing commitment to child development beyond the classroom. In just twelve months the programme has welcomed 515 children, supported 440 families, and delivered 24 holiday camps across more than 100 activity days; quickly establishing itself as a trusted and popular choice for families seeking high-quality holiday provision in Aberdeen.
At the heart of the programme is a commitment to delivering fun and engaging experiences in a safe environment where children can thrive. Camps are teacher-led, giving parents added reassurance around quality, care, and expertise. With multiple camp concepts available from sport to creative and enrichment-focused sessions, there is something to suit every child’s interests and energy levels.
Speaking about the milestone, Linzi Ryan, Enterprise Manager, said: “We are incredibly proud of what RGC Camps has achieved in its first year. The response from families has been overwhelmingly positive with an overall experience rating of 4.8 out of 5 stars, and 100% of those surveyed saying they would recommend RGC Camps to a friend! That trust means the world to us.
“As we look ahead, we are excited to continue growing the programme and reaching even more families across Aberdeen and the Shire. Our expanded Easter camps offering during the 2026 Easter break marks the next step in that journey - providing even greater choice and flexibility for parents while maintaining the high-quality experience children have come to expect.”
Feedback has been truly outstanding with one parent praising camp staff: “The instructors were beyond amazing and my children made memories that will last a lifetime.” Another parent highlighted the camp’s inclusivity: “Lovely experience for both current and external pupils. With RGC pupils providing a warm and supportive welcome to pupils who may not have experienced Countesswells campus or coaches previously.”
