DEV4 Online Ltd has welcomed two students from Robert Gordon University’s Aberdeen Business School through its Connect to Business programme, continuing the company’s long-standing commitment to supporting emerging talent through practical industry placements.
The two students, Sarah Cross and Mariana Al Shrayteh, are each leading projects designed to strengthen DEV4’s operations and market presence while gaining valuable commercial experience.
Sarah Cross, a third-year Business and Management student at RGU, is working on improving DEV4’s client relationship and software support processes. Her project includes benchmarking the company’s support offering, documenting improved processes, and helping define KPIs to measure time savings, efficiency and client satisfaction.
Alongside her studies, Sarah also serves as a Councillor for Aberdeen City Council representing the Bridge of Don ward. She brings extensive experience from the energy sector, business ownership and international work, giving her project both practical and strategic value.
Mariana Al Shrayteh, who is studying International Business Management at RGU, is leading a project to expand DEV4’s digital presence beyond LinkedIn, with a focus on increasing awareness of Equi-track, the company’s cloud-based equipment and stock management platform. Her work includes market research, social media setup, brand development and repurposing existing marketing materials.

With a strong interest in global business, travel and cross-cultural working, Mariana hopes the placement will help her build confidence, strengthen her skills and gain valuable real-world experience while shaping her future career path.
