Tourism, Tech & TMM! RGU is delighted to host a cross industry panel discussion on women entrepreneurship, with distinguished guests; Judith Thorpe –TMM Recruitment, Zoe Evans –TechStars & Sarah Stephen –The Barn @ Barra Castle.
To celebrate the launch of this annual global celebration of entrepreneurship, the Entrepreneurship & Innovation Group (EIG) is looking forward to hosting an Innovation Masterclass panel of distinguished women working across a range of different areas of entrepreneurship.
The multi award-winning speakers are -
Judith Thorpe – Board Director & Founder at TMM Recruitment, a multi award winning recruitment service based in the Northeast of Scotland. Jude started her entrepreneurial journey in 1997 with her lifelong friend Karen Molloy when together they founded Thorpe Molloy accountancy recruitment agency. Over the years this evolved to TMM Recruitment with Jude continuing to champion women in work and fostering entrepreneurship through Princes Trust and DYW Northeast.
Zoe Evans – An advocate for women startups, Zoe is Founder Catalyst Program Manager (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) for Techstars, an internationally renowned pre-seed investor network. Passionate about supporting women startups Zoe also started Founder Squad to help women overcome inequality in the global tech industry through helping address issues in funding and support.
Sarah Stephen (nee Mack) – Former Landward presenter is now co-owner of The Barn @ Barra Castle. A supporter of women’s equal pay rights, Sarah’s business includes the delicious Barra Berries, a seasonal farm shop, a café along with a beautiful wedding venue on the 16th century castle grounds along with holiday accommodations.
