Robertson Granite is a family run business established in 1876 and it is one of the largest manufacturers of granite products in Great Britain. It is also one of the major memorial retailers in the country, having eighteen ‘Robertson Memorials’ branches throughout Scotland and ten in England.
The firm is delighted to announce Gavin Hastie has been appointed as Assistant Manager at Robertson Memorials, Westhill as part of a plan for the company to strengthen its retail support team and to help it achieve its long term strategy. Gavin first joined the company in November 2008 as a Production Assistant working in the manufacturing facility originally sited at Merkland Road East and Pittodrie Street, Aberdeen.
In May 2017, Gavin was involved in the company’s relocation to its new purpose built factory and office facility at Westhill and shortly after the relocation, Gavin undertook a role in the drawing and estimating office which he enjoyed very much. Gavin was recently invited to apply for the retail assistant managers post and the management team is delighted to welcome him into his new role where his past 14½ years of experience will be invaluable.
Robertson Memorials specialise in the supply of memorials to individual requirements and as members of the National Association of Memorial Masons, abide by a strict code of conduct to produce quality work at a reasonable price. In addition to new memorials, the company also manufactures granite corporate/house signs, benches, pet memorials and commemorative plaques. They also carry out all cemetery work such as additional inscriptions, memorial cleaning, inscription renovations, memorial repairs and re-erections.
