ESWL is delighted to announce that Ross Barclay, Sales Administrator, has been recognised as June's Player of the Month, celebrating his proactive approach, commitment to excellence, and positive contribution the business.
Ross joined ESWL in October 2024, starting in a team of 4 expediters. In August 2025, Ross joined the sales team as a Sales Administrator which enabled Ross to strengthen his capabilities & enhance his approach to working under pressure. After restructuring into a Central Processing Team, this allowed Ross to process Purchase Orders for all ESWL clients. This provided Ross the opportunity to demonstrate his efficiency and ability to manage a large volume of orders, supporting the overall objectives of the business.
The Initiative Player of the Month award recognises employees who consistently go above and beyond in their role, demonstrating ownership, problem-solving, and a willingness to take action that benefits colleagues, customers, and the organisation. Ross has exemplified these qualities by showing a positive attitude to supporting the Central Processing team by processing a high volume of orders consistently every day.
As Sales Administrator, Ross plays an integral role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the sales function. His attention to detail, ability to manage competing priorities, and commitment to supporting both customers and colleagues have made him a valued member of the ESWL team. Whether streamlining processes, responding promptly to customer requirements, or stepping in to assist teammates when needed, Ross consistently demonstrates initiative that makes a meaningful difference.
Speaking about the recognition, Ross said: “I am grateful to receive this recognition. Since joining ESWL, I have been given many opportunities to learn & develop across the business. I have been fortunate to work with a great team who have supported me along the way, and I am proud of the contribution I can make.
