Roundtable with Greg Clark MP

Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce held a roundtable on Wednesday, August 8 with the Rt Hon Greg Clark MP, Secretary of State for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy.

Around 25 Chamber member businesses and organisations representing multiple sectors including oil and gas, food and drink, academia and tourism attended the meeting, which was hosted by the Oil & Gas Technology Centre. On the agenda was the industrial strategy, economic growth and diversity, current and future investment; and the opportunities and risks around Brexit.

Topics raised for discussion included the city region deal, the apprenticeship levy, the North-east’s tourism ambitions and the impact on skills in relation to the UK leaving the European Union.

The event was the latest in the Chamber’s series of roundtables with senior ministers from across the UK and Scottish governments.
