A Flexible Part‑Time Role
The Accounts Assistant will work approximately 24 hours per week, with flexibility built around the needs of the successful candidate.
The current schedule of Monday–Thursday (08:30–14:30) can be adapted, though Monday availability is essential to support payroll duties when required.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Group Accountant, the successful candidate will provide vital financial support across the organisation, including:
Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Processing invoices, payment runs, cash receipts, and credit notes
- Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Supporting continuous improvement and resolving queries
Inter‑Company Transactions
- Processing inter‑company invoices
- Month‑end reconciliations
- Allocating cash transfers
Balance Sheet Reconciliation
- Monthly bank reconciliations
- GRNI accrual reconciliations across all companies
- Monitoring and correcting ledger postings
Additional Duties
- Weekly payroll processing during periods of cover
- Professional reception support as required
Skills & Experience
We are seeking an individual with:
- An HND or degree in Accounting & Finance (preferred)
- Minimum 3 years’ accounting or related experience
- ERP system knowledge and strong Excel capability
- Understanding of GAAP/IFRS, tax, and financial regulations
- Payroll experience (SAGE advantageous)
- Exceptional attention to detail and high confidentiality standards
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem‑solving mindset

- Leading and influencing a positive safety culture across the factory through coaching, engagement, and visibility on the shop floor.
- Driving key health & safety initiatives, from hazard identification to implementing practical, effective solutions.
- Collaborating with production, engineering, and other teams to solve safety challenges and implement improvements.
- Supporting incident investigations, root cause analyses, and preventative action development.
- Assisting the Quality team in managing customer complaints with timely follow‑up and meaningful corrective actions.
- Supporting internal quality and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance processes and overall performance.
- Ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
Candidate Profile
We are seeking someone who is:
- Passionate about safety and continuous improvement
- Confident in building strong working relationships at all levels
- NEBOSH‑qualified or working toward completion
- Comfortable working in a hands‑on, industrial environment
- Analytical, pragmatic, and solution‑focused
- Experienced in manufacturing (preferred but not essential)
