Ocean Installer is proud to announce its role as headline sponsor of the first‑ever Run Barra Half Marathon, organised by Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, taking place on Saturday, May 30, 2026.

The 2026 event marks an exciting milestone as Run Barra expands its programme which already includes 5K, 10K and Junior Run events to include the Ocean Installer Barra Half Marathon for the very first time. Returning to Oldmeldrum, the Run Barra event will bring together runners of all ages and abilities, alongside supporters from across the local community, for a day dedicated to raising vital funds for Kayleigh’s Wee Stars.

Run Barra is organised by Kayleigh’s Wee Stars, Ocean Installer’s Charity of the Year for 2026. They are a Scottish charity providing financial support to families where a child has a terminal illness, helping them create precious memories during incredibly difficult times. All funds raised through Run Barra will directly support the charity’s work with families across Scotland.

Gregor Scott, Managing Director of Ocean Installer, said:

“We are delighted to sponsor Run Barra’s first ever half marathon, and proud to support Kayleigh’s Wee Stars in the incredible work they do.  Care, compassion and community are values that matter greatly to us at Ocean Installer and we hope this event will continue to grow and raise vital funds for many years to come.

As headline sponsor, Ocean Installer continues its commitment to supporting meaningful community initiatives and championing causes that make a real difference to families across the region.
