Sandaig Engineering, a QA/QC Consultancy to the Energy Sector, are pleased to announce they have won their first renewables contract. They will be providing consultancy services to Kinetic Renewable Services who provide wind turbine service, maintenance and statutory inspections.
Sandaig Engineering provides tailored QA/QC Supply Chain, Project Management and Quality Engineering Consultancy Services to energy operators around the globe. This new work augments current long-term contracts with Oil and Gas operators in the UK, Norway and Europe.
In 2018 when Sandaig Engineering launched their business, energy transition was well underway and moving into the renewables sector was high on their agenda. Being based in Aberdeenshire Sandaig Engineering benefited from the support out there for Scottish SME’s to get ready for the energy transition. Support from SDI, OWGP ORE Catapult, cluster builder Deepwind and Exodus have helped Sandaig Engineering understand the renewables sector and identify that their consultancy service expertise is both highly transferable and a valuable asset to the renewable sector.
Principal Consultant Robbie Owen is currently involved in the Chartered Quality Institute Renewable Energy SIG which aims to inform members on the competency and standards that exist in the sphere of renewable energy. This valuable expertise will benefit both renewable energy companies and energy operators who are involved in the energy transition.
