And, as you’d expect, he comes bearing gifts. In fact, if you spot all 20 Santas in the Rosemount area, you could be in with a chance of winning a top prize of £50 vouchers.

Northwood North East, estate & letting agents on 207-2011 Rosemount Place, will be one of twenty in the Rosemount community ramping up the Christmas spirit, spreading some seasonal family fun! Inside their office, visitors can also pick up environmentally friendly Reindeer Food, a letter to Santa and even one from the man himself. These are free, however any donations received will be passed directly to Mission Christmas.

The Santa Treasure Trail begins on 1st December. A special Santa can be spotted in twenty windows in Rosemount businesses, and each will have a number and letter on his belt. When arranged from 1 to 20, Santa’s letters will spell out a festive message.

Fun for all the family, all you need to do is to remember a paper and pencil, and wrap up warmly then enjoy a stroll around the lovely Rosemount area – keeping a keen eye out for Santa, of course!

Treasure hunters should focus their attention mainly on Rosemount Place, Esslemont Avenue and Richmond Street. A quick peek at the windows of The Owl at Number Two might be a good place to start!

Once solved, the correct phrase, along with your name and contact details can be sent by text to 07740 714 821 – or popped on a note to any of the businesses taking part; winners will be drawn at random, from the correct entries, in the New Year. The top prize is a £50 voucher and two runner-up prizes of £25, which can be spent at any of the participating businesses.

Ingrid Taylor of Rosemount Community Centre also encouraged Treasure Trail visitors to enjoy a special Christmas display around the Centre, “As part of the community and the local businesses Christmas Trail the Community Centre thought it would be nice to brighten up the area with an outdoor art exhibition.

Local children and nursery will design pictures of their vision of Christmas/Winter which will be displayed on the fencing around the Centre from the 1st of December.”

Karen, Route 66 Hair Salon said, “Rosemount has a great community which I am very proud to be part of. There are lots of friendly businesses to visit to cater for all your shopping and relaxation needs.

We are very excited to see you on your visit to Rosemount while participating in our Santa Trail, especially our excited young visitors. I am particularly looking forward to seeing all the Christmas artwork displayed on the railings of our Community Centre.”
