Hundreds of Santas are set to fill Aberdeen city centre on Sunday November 15 2026 as the All Life Chances Santa Run joins Aberdeen's Christmas Parade to officially kick off the festive season.

The event will be one of the first major festive celebrations to take place on Aberdeen's revamped Union Street, with hundreds of Santas expected to take part.

Organised by All Life Chances in partnership with Aberdeen City Council, the family-friendly event invites people of all ages to pull on a Santa suit and take part in a fun run down Union Street while raising awareness and support for local children, young people and families.

The festive run will form part of Aberdeen's annual Christmas Parade celebrations, creating a sea of red as participants take to the streets to celebrate the start of the Christmas season.

Starting 5:25pm at Albyn Place, the Santas will make their way down a revamped Union Street finishing at the Town House. The route is fully accessible for all ages, abilities, wheelchairs and pushchairs.

Participants can register online, ticket options include individuals, families, and wheelchair users.  All under 15s must be accompanied by an adult. Registration includes a Santa suit and commemorative participation medal. All ticket information is detailed on the All Life Chances Website.

Funds raised from the event will support All Life Chances' work helping children, young people and families across Aberdeen to access opportunities, overcome challenges and build brighter futures.

Lord Provost of Aberdeen, Dr David Cameron, said: "The Santa Run has become a much-loved part of Aberdeen's festive celebrations, bringing together people of all ages for a very fun event, full of community spirit.

“I am delighted that All Life Chances are organising the event this year and would like to thank everyone involved for helping make it possible. The charity does fantastic work supporting local people throughout the city, and the Santa Run is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the start of the festive season while raising awareness and support for that important work.

"I encourage everyone to don their Santa suits, get involved, and help make this year's event a memorable success."

Lara Munro, director of operations at All Life Chances said: "We’re excited to be organising the 2026 Santa Run and how fantastic the revamped Union Street will be christened by a sea of Santas! We are looking forward to seeing the streets lined with children and families cheering the Santa Runners on.

"The Santa Run is a wonderful opportunity for families, friends, schools and community groups to come together, enjoy a fun festive experience and make a real difference for local people.

“Every registration helps support our work across Aberdeen and ensures more children and families can access the opportunities they deserve."

Lara adds: “We are thankful to our sponsor, Infinity, an AMS company for all their support in making the Santa Run possible.”

Simon Cowie, managing director Infinity, an AMS company commented: “Infinity has strong roots in Aberdeen, and we're delighted to be the headline sponsor of this year's Santa Run. Supporting our local community is important to us, and All Life Chances does tremendous work helping children, young people and families across the city.

“It's a fantastic opportunity to bring people together. We're proud to be involved and look forward to seeing Union Street filled with Santas!”
