On Monday, March 27, the Save The Belmont Cinema group launched their website at a public meeting at the Blue Lamp, attended by over 80 supporters.

Following the closure of the Belmont Filmhouse in October when its parent company the Centre for the Moving Image went into administration, the Save The Belmont Cinema campaign was formed. Consisting of members of the cinema, former employees and local businesspeople, the group has been working to ensure the reopening of the Belmont and guarantee a community-focused, sustainable future for cultural cinema in Aberdeen.

To help build public support for their vision and continue to engage with the audience for the Belmont, they have launched a website at belmontcinema.co.uk (designed by the team at Forty Two Studio).
