Footwear favourite Schuh is set to close its store on St Nicholas Street next year and move into Union Square instead.
Schuh has occupied the prominent store a stone's throw from Union Street and the St Nicholas Centre for around 10 years after taking it over from Gap.
The Press and Journal reports the company has confirmed it will move out of the St Nicholas Street unit when the lease expires in May, with Schuh now lining up a move into Union Square.
Planning documents submitted to Aberdeen City Council outline proposals for Schuh to make £60,000 worth of alterations to the Union Square unit vacated by Benson For Beds in November.
The move would be another blow for St Nicholas Street following the high-profile closure of the flagship M&S store there.
