UK headquartered Score, a leading global provider of advanced engineering technology services in the fields of valve and emissions management, gas turbines and surface technologies has announced two major multi-million-dollar acquisitions as part of its strategic growth plan.
The company has acquired BLJ In-Situ Solutions, a mechanical maintenance and turnaround specialist based in Australia, in a seven-figure deal.
It has also completed an eight-figure acquisition of Houston-based Drake Controls, a globally recognised provider of advanced digital control solutions for industrial gas turbines, steam turbines, compressors, and reciprocating engines.
These acquisitions mark significant milestones for Score, a D2Zero Company, diversifying its service portfolio, strengthening its global footprint and expanding its technical capabilities across key markets including energy, defence, and aerospace.
The acquisition of BLJ In-Situ Solutions amplifies Score’s presence in Australasia and enhances its on-site machining, maintenance, and shutdown expertise - supporting critical industries such as oil and gas, power generation, and mining.
Meanwhile, the acquisition of Drake Controls significantly expands Score’s digital capabilities, positioning the company at the forefront of intelligent control solutions for industrial gas turbines and associated engines.
Drake Controls is one of Woodward Inc’s largest energy aftermarket business partners, with authorised sales and service centres across the United States and Mexico.
"These acquisitions represent a pivotal step forward in Score’s strategic growth journey," said Nick Dunn, CEO of Score.
"BLJ brings deep expertise in on-site maintenance and turnaround services in a region that is critical to our long-term plans, while Drake Controls enhances our digital capabilities with world-class control solutions that align perfectly with our vision to support global energy customers with efficient and cleaner energy solutions.
"Together, both companies strengthen our ability to deliver exceptional value to customers globally and reinforce our commitment to innovation, reliability, and operational excellence.”
Integration plans are already underway, with both BLJ and Drake Controls expected to operate under Score’s portfolio while maintaining their core expertise and customer relationships.
This acquisition highlights Score’s commitment to strategic growth, engineering excellence, and delivering impactful, sustainable solutions that boost performance across global industries.
