The result of the Scottish Parliament election in the Aberdeen South and North Kincardine constituency was as follows:

Aberdeen South and North Kincardine: electorate 59,710; total valid votes cast 32,340; turnout 54.38%.

  • Alison EVISON, Scottish Labour Party, 5,603 votes
  • Ross THOMSON, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party, 10,849 votes
  • John WADDELL, Scottish Liberal Democrats, 2,284 votes
  • Maureen WATT, Scottish National Party (SNP), 13,604 votes

Maureen Watt was duly elected.

The number of ballot papers rejected was as follows:

  • Lack of an official mark – 0
  • voting for more than one candidate – 28
  • writing or mark by which voter could be identified – 01
  • being unmarked or wholly void for uncertainty – 102
