Scottish Seafood Association presentation to HRH the duke of Rothesay

Recently, as part of a delegation from the Scottish Seafood Association, Elaine Sutherland, managing director, Maurice Sutherland, operations director and Alan Stewart, procurement manager, were invited to make a presentation to His Royal Highness the Duke of Rothesay at Birkhall near Ballater.

Among the presentation were Sutherlands of Portsoy Scottish salmon products, naturally smoked haddock & kippers packed in the newly branded retail packs. Two specially prepared packs of cold smoked salmon infused with Laphroaig whisky were presented to the Duke in the knowledge this was his favourite dram – this was particularly well received.

The Duke was interested to hear about the company’s origins, its traditional smoking process, along with the focus on quality and provenance that has become synonymous with the brand.
