Some flights to and from Aberdeen International Airport were hit by disruption after a technical failure affecting NATS air traffic control services at its Prestwick Centre, the second such incident in as many weeks.
The issue has now been resolved, but the airport warned that some services may continue to experience delays and disruption because of the knock-on impact across the network.
An AGS Airports spokesperson said: “A technical issue affecting NATS air traffic control services at the Prestwick Centre has now been resolved.
“However, some services operating to and from our airports, particularly Glasgow Airport, may continue to experience delays and disruption due to the knock-on impact across the network.”
Nats said: “The issue in our Prestwick centre is now fixed. We are working with airports and airlines to safely lift air traffic regulations as quickly as we can to minimise any further disruption.
“Passengers should still check the status of their flight with their airline. We apologise for the disruption.”
