Engineering firm Jbs has appointed Peter Grant to a new senior leadership role as part of a move to future-proof the business and support global growth.
Peter joins as Head of Operations (People, Process, Blast Containment and Sea Axe), working alongside Gordon Milne, Head of Operations (Fabrication and Screw Conveyors).
The new structure splits day-to-day operational responsibility across the company's four divisions, giving each division direct senior oversight as Jbs scales internationally.
The appointment comes at a significant time for Jbs, which spans subsea excavation, blast containment, screw conveyors and fabrication & engineering, and has delivered strong year-on-year growth driven by international demand across the energy sector, with the company now having delivered projects in more than 80 countries.
Peter joins Jbs from Strachans (Wrist Offshore North Sea) in Peterhead, where he spent 12 years, progressing through a series of operational roles to become Head of Operations. Prior to that, he spent over 20 years at Royal Mail, holding a number of senior operational management positions. He brings a wealth of operational leadership experience, along with a strong track record in people and process management, to his new role at Jbs.

This move follows a strong period of growth for Peterhead-based Jbs. The company has secured a major ATEX-certified screw conveyor package for an offshore field development in the Middle East, and recent fabrication work has included bespoke offshore structures and platform installations.
Elsewhere, Jbs's Sea Axe system has completed a full turnkey deployment in the Southern North Sea, alongside a further contract supporting an offshore wind farm project in South Korea, while its blast containment division continues to support naval fleets across the UK, Australia, Norway and Canada, as well as the US space sector. Jbs has a team of 50 people.
