After a profoundly moving and thought-provoking talk of Revd. Gary Smith at Fountainhall at the Cross last February, regarding his work with asylum seekers in Aberdeen, Lively Minds group and the Music @ the Stocket team decided to join forces in this collaborative concert to raise funds to support the ongoing work with asylum seekers in Aberdeen.
Performed by talented Middle Eastern and local musicians, this concert will bring together music from the Middle East and Scottish music.
‘Sharing Cultures Through Music’ will take place at Fountainhall at the Stocket on 24th May at 3pm and it will be another outreach initiative of Fountainhall Church, to add to its impressive list of community work and collaborations.
Entry by donation. All proceeds to asylum seekers Aberdeen.
