Shepherd and Wedderburn is pleased to announce the appointment of project finance specialist Graham Young as the latest Partner to join its market leading Clean Energy team.

Graham brings extensive experience in complex banking and finance transactions, and his technical skillset and sector expertise have earned him a strong reputation among peers and clients alike.

He specialises in project finance, and in the structuring and financing of energy and infrastructure assets, both of which asset classes are priorities for growth and investment across the UK.

“Knowing the calibre of clients and projects associated with the firm, I am delighted to be joining the clean energy team at Shepherd and Wedderburn,” Graham said. “Given the ambitious targets for deployment of clean energy generation, infrastructure and decarbonisation, there is a significant amount of work to do in structuring fit for purpose financial packages. I look forward to working with clients and colleagues to help achieve those ambitions.”

Andrew Blain, managing partner, added: “We are delighted to welcome Graham to our team. His wealth of experience and deep understanding of the project finance markets will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our position in the clean energy sector. Graham’s expertise will not only enhance our service offerings but also support our clients in achieving their financing goals in a rapidly changing environment.”

On 14 and 15 May, Shepherd and Wedderburn will be the headline sponsor of All-Energy 2025 at the SEC in Glasgow. As the UK’s largest annual renewable and low-carbon energy exhibition and conference, the event is a vital platform for industry leaders to discuss advancements in clean energy and share insights on the future of the sector.
