ACVO TSI, Aberdeen’s third sector interface, is pleased to share the publication of the June 2025 edition of ACVO News, the free digital magazine showcasing the latest community news, updates and opportunities in Aberdeen.
Each month, ACVO News plays a key role in promoting the vibrant work of third sector organisations across Aberdeen, as well as providing the latest funding opportunities, volunteering roles, events and vacancies in the city.
This month’s bumper edition coincides with national Volunteers’ Week 2025 (2-8 June), marking 41 years of saying thank you to all volunteers across the country.
The June ACVO News joins in with the celebrations, putting a spotlight on the Asthma and Allergy Foundation and their dedicated team of volunteers who raise awareness of asthma and allergies.
The third sector newsletter also highlights the powerful community of volunteers behind Friends of Seaton Park where their commitment has resulted in the local park thriving, becoming a place for everyone in the city to enjoy.
Another key feature in this edition is from Cruse Scotland and the compassionate bereavement support they offer to those affected by grief. Their team of volunteer counsellors support people navigating through the pain of losing a loved one, ensuring they don’t suffer alone.
Other third sector updates in this month’s edition include:
- Aberdeen Arts Centre launch their £660k fundraising appeal campaign
- Diversity Bridge SCIO celebrate the graduation of Cohort 1 of their Youth Leadership Development Program
- The Asthma and Allergy Foundation inspire young people to raise awareness through designing their own innovative, creative inhaler covers
Third sector organisations, charities and community groups are welcome to contact ACVO to share their stories or if they wish to have a feature article highlighting the work they do in Aberdeen.
