Aberdeen video production and animation company Signal has helped global asset integrity specialist EM&I Group showcase diverless underwater robotic technologies through five marketing films launched at ROG.e 2026 in Rio de Janeiro.
Created for one of the world’s largest energy events, the suite comprised four product films and a flagship hero film. Signal’s production, animation and post-production teams worked with EM&I colleagues across several countries to translate complex inspection, repair and maintenance technology into clear stories within an accelerated schedule.
Powered by animation and CGI
The films feature KING CRAB™, KING LORIS™, JAWS™ and a vessel-hull integrity suite comprising ODIN™, LIMPET™, PLUG™ and CLAM™. Operational footage, motion graphics, technical animation and CGI built from engineering drawings and CAD data show each system accurately in demanding offshore environments.
Brazilian Portuguese film localisation
All five films were localised for Brazil with translated scripts, voiceovers and subtitles. Close collaboration with EM&I’s Brazilian team ensured the Portuguese versions retained the clarity and technical accuracy of the English films while connecting with local and international audiences.
Client feedback
“The Signal team delivered a great result under demanding timescales. The quality of the films, attention to technical detail, and ability to produce Brazilian Portuguese versions in time for our launch at ROG.e exceeded expectations. The films have given us a powerful way to communicate the value of our technologies to clients and other key industry stakeholders around the world.” - Alexander Constantinis, Chief Commercial Officer, EM&I Group
Energy video production for global communications
The project demonstrates Signal’s ability to deliver filmmaking, animation, CGI and multilingual technical communications accurately and at speed. EM&I is using the films across exhibitions, customer meetings and global business-development activity.
