Award-winning Aberdeen video production and animation company Signal has enjoyed a busy start to the autumn, securing four new animated films that highlight the growing demand for clear, engaging HSE induction videos, and business communications for global organisations.

Safety induction animation for Equinor locations worldwide

Three of the projects are the latest in a successful series of animated induction films being produced for Norwegian energy company Equinor. With offices and operational sites across the globe, Equinor requires engaging and consistent safety communications for employees, contractors and visitors. Signal has now produced induction animations for ten Equinor locations worldwide, helping to ensure that important site information is communicated clearly, consistently and effectively.

The latest commissions are for Equinor’s site in Brooklyn, New York, and two facilities in Łeba, Poland. Each film follows the distinctive visual style developed by Signal for the wider induction animation series, ensuring brand consistency across international locations while allowing for accurate, site-specific safety content. All films are produced in English as well as the relevant local language.

Animated safety induction video for WellGear in Aberdeenshire

The fourth animation marks the beginning of a new client relationship with WellGear, a global engineering company serving the energy sector. The film is being created as an induction resource for employees, visitors and contractors attending WellGear’s offices and workshop facilities in Drumoak, Aberdeenshire, supporting clear communication of safety procedures and best practice.

WellGear wanted an induction film that would be informative, engaging and enjoyable to watch. Signal has developed an animation concept featuring a range of distinctive and characterful animated personalities, helping bring the key messages to life while maintaining a strong focus on safety, compliance and best practice.

Commenting on the new commissions, Jamie Baikie, Signal’s Managing Director, said, “These projects reflect the continued demand for creative animation as a tool for delivering essential business communications in an engaging way. Whether it’s a visitor induction, an HSE training video or a technical explainer, animation helps organisations make important information easier to understand and remember.”

All four animated induction films are scheduled for release in October, adding to Signal’s growing portfolio of safety, training and corporate animation projects for clients in the energy, engineering and industrial sectors.
