Law firm Aberdein Considine LLP has achieved a silver medal from global sustainability ratings provider EcoVadis, placing the firm in the top 15% of companies assessed worldwide.
This corporate sustainability recognition marks a significant milestone for Aberdein Considine just over a year since the firm made the transition from traditional partnership to Limited Liability Partnership in June 2026.
EcoVadis assesses 150,000 businesses globally, evaluating the sustainability practices of their supply chains. Ratings are awarded in recognition of a company’s performance across a range of key ESG areas, including environmental responsibility, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
Aberdein Considine scored particularly highly in the ethics assessment, with the ratings scorecard recognising the firm’s robust ethics and compliance framework, policies and dedicated ethics responsibilities.
Meanwhile, EcoVadis also highlighted the law firm’s strong environmental framework, encompassing comprehensive environmental policies and dedicated environmental governance and review mechanisms. Positive actions such as energy conservation training, energy/carbon audits and energy efficiency initiatives were also recognised.

He said: “We’re really pleased to have achieved this silver rating from EcoVadis, which is testament to the commitment and vision of our leadership team and colleagues. This outcome is the result of a collaborative effort involving multiple departments, including a full carbon footprint analysis and ESG assessments.
“The process has given us a clear understanding of our current sustainability performance and establishes a baseline from which we can measure future progress on reducing our carbon emissions and working towards Net Zero.
“Work is already under way to take forward EcoVadis’s recommendations so that we can enhance our ESG performance ahead of our next assessment in 2027.”
Summarising Aberdein Considine’s overall performance, EcoVadis noted that “the scorecard reflects a well-established and mature sustainability programme with clear opportunities to reach higher EcoVadis performance levels in future assessments”.
