Aberdeen-based managed IT services provider Simblox has appointed Konnor Stewart to a business development role, following his progression through the company's technical team.
Konnor, who graduated from Robert Gordon University in 2024 with a degree in Cyber Security and Network Management, joined Simblox in December that year as a Graduate Systems Engineer.
He subsequently progressed into second-line technical support, gaining hands-on experience across Microsoft 365, networking, cloud services and IT security, while working closely with customers across a range of industries.
Now moving into Technical Business Development, Konnor will focus on building relationships with businesses across Aberdeen and the North-east, helping them identify how technology can support their operations and growth.
His appointment forms part of Simblox's continued focus on developing its people and the growth of the business, building on the relationship-led service that has supported the company's growth over the past 20 years.
Konnor said: "Working on the technical side has given me a really good understanding of the challenges businesses face with their IT. I'm looking forward to getting out and meeting more businesses, learning about what they do and exploring where we can help. One of the things I've appreciated most about working at Simblox is the opportunity to develop. I've been encouraged to explore where I want to take my career and supported in making that happen."
Mark Le Huray, Managing Director at Simblox, added: "Konnor's progression is a great example of what can happen when you give people the opportunity to develop their skills and explore new challenges.
"His technical background gives him a valuable perspective to both understand customer challenges, whilst his enthusiasm and curiosity has enabled him to build strong relationships. He understands the technology and can bridge this and the people and businesses using it. We're delighted to support him as he takes this next step in his career."
