Skylark Brasserie, Aberdeen’s newest destination for modern brasserie dining, officially opened on Friday, January 30 by Chairman Sir Jim Milne CBE, ahead of opening to the public on Saturday, January 31.
The official opening was marked with a small gathering of invited business associates and representatives from Aberdeen City Council, Invest Aberdeen and the Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce coming together to celebrate continued investment in the city. The Lord Provost of Aberdeen was also in attendance, underlining the importance of the project and its contribution to Aberdeen’s economic and hospitality landscape.
Located at Marcliffe, Skylark Brasserie offers an elevated all-day dining experience for Aberdeen, blending relaxed elegance with a lively yet unhurried atmosphere.
Showcasing the very best of local, seasonal Scottish produce, the menu celebrates fresh flavours and modern brasserie classics, making Skylark a distinctive new destination for everything from long lunches to evening gatherings.
Skylark will also host a programme of special events and live music, including its first brunch experience - the Bridgerton Brunch, bringing an added sense of occasion and entertainment to the city’s dining scene.
Sir Jim Milne, CBE commented on the night: “Skylark is something truly unique for Aberdeen. We’re incredibly proud of what’s taking shape here and excited to share it with our guests. It reflects a long-term commitment to quality, to hospitality, and to investing in the future of the city.”
The event was also a meaningful moment for the Spence family, with Stewart family present to see the new space officially opened, a venue many felt Mr Spence himself would have been proud to witness.
Total investment in the Skylark project has now exceeded £5.5million, encompassing a state-of-the-art kitchen, bespoke interiors and upgraded facilities, reflecting a significant and continued investment in Aberdeen.
