Scotland's first alcohol-free bar, SOBR on Thistle Street in Aberdeen, has been singled out for praise in a Times feature on the best places to eat in Scotland.
The stunning venue has been a labour of love for owner Kate Kenyon and her hard-working team since opening in October and has been a huge hit with customers.
It offers a safe and inclusive place for people who are sober or just not in the mood to get drunk to socialise and enjoy all the benefits of a bar without the alcohol.
The Times' feature states: "If you’re neither a drinker nor desperate to part with a big chunk of money then check out the other side of Scotland’s drinks scene, where the alcohol-free bar SOBR opened on Thistle Street in Aberdeen on October 22.
"The bar is inspired by its owner Kate Kenyon’s history of kidney troubles and a close friend’s recovery from alcohol addiction, and serves mocktails boosted with lion’s mane mushroom and activated charcoal as well as non-alcoholic wines, spirits, beers, ciders and even non-alcoholic birthday shots.
"Styled with art deco-inspired interiors themed on the building’s former use as a florist, SOBR shows you don’t need booze to have a stylish night out."
The glowing review comes as Aberdeen & Grampian Chamber of Commerce's Business Bulletin magazine features an in-depth chat with Kate in it's up-coming February Business of Health edition.
Kate tells AGCC how visitors have come from far and wide to be part of the "community" SOBR has created.
She explains the importance of challenging drinking culture and teh perspective of non-drinkers being "boring", while supporting people who shouldn't drink due to health issues.
She said: "I’m really proud of what we’ve created for people."
Keep your eyes peeled for the new Business Bulletin hitting shelves and desks next week. The digital version will also be available here.
