Spectis Robotics has integrated its own DVR system directly into the Microtraxx inspection robot.
This provides professionals with important new documentation features.
The system now captures still images during inspections, as well as the original video record function. An automatic screen-flip function keeps the view upright if the robot turns over. Users can review all footage and photos on the monitor in real time, using the integrated keypad, ensuring all stills and video are saved.
Brian Storie, managing director, said: "Our integrated DVR is a major milestone for us. We have a clear plan to keep developing this technology and will integrate it into more of our own products in the future. It's a very exciting step for our team."
The Microtraxx with integrated DVR is available for rental or purchase from Spectis Robotics. The DVR can also be integrated into other products with additional features like exceptional versatility for professional use. It is capable of capturing high-resolution footage from both analogue and digital sources, supporting inputs up to 4K at 60fps or 8K at 30fps, the DVR provides a video passthrough output to support up to two external monitors. More features are in development.
About Spectis Robotics:
Spectis Robotics provides remote inspection solutions for challenging environments. Since 2010, the company has supplied the nuclear, civil, offshore, and subsea sectors with reliable robotic crawlers, underwater ROVs, and industrial camera systems.
This rugged equipment is built to inspect areas that are difficult or unsafe for people to access. Typical applications include ship hulls, internal pipework, storage tanks, and culverts.
A key benefit of this technology is its ability to reduce, or even remove, the need for manned entry into confined/dangerous spaces, making industrial inspections safer.
