The senior table tennis team from SpinLab ABZ, Aberdeen's newest dedicated table tennis facility, is currently sitting fifth of ten teams in the Championship division of the British Clubs League — the second tier of the UK's national table tennis competition — after four matches.
With two wins and two losses so far, the team sits right in the middle of a tightly packed division, separated from fifth to second place by just two points. Standout performer Yifu Zhang has won three of their four matches to date.
SpinLab opened its doors in South College Street in August 2026, bringing Aberdeen its first full-time dedicated table tennis venue, and the club is already making its mark nationally as well as locally.
As the team's profile grows, SpinLab is keen to hear from any local businesses who might be interested in supporting the squad — including through kit sponsorship — as it takes Aberdeen's name into national competition.
