Stagecoach North Scotland is preparing to help football supporters travel safely and conveniently during this summer's World Cup fixtures in Aberdeen, while reaffirming its long-standing commitment to Scottish football.

As a proud supporter of the national game, Stagecoach North Scotland works closely with Aberdeen, Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle, providing sponsorship and discounted travel options for season ticket holders while also helping supporters travel to and from matches throughout the season.

The company also sponsors the PFA Scotland Premiership Player of the Year award. Last month Managing Director David Beaton presented the 2025/26 award to Heart of Midlothian manager Derek McInnes on behalf of winner Claudio Braga at a ceremony in Glasgow.

To support fans attending or watching the World Cup fixtures, Stagecoach North Scotland will operate selected overnight services across the match period.

Service 727 will operate throughout the night for all three fixtures, providing connections between Portlethen, Aberdeen city centre, Aberdeen Airport and communities across the north and south of the city. In addition, Service N6 to Westhill will operate during the early mornings of Sunday 14 June and Saturday 20 June.

Customers can find full timetable information on the Stagecoach website.

David Beaton, Managing Director of Stagecoach North Scotland, said: “We’re not jumping on a World Cup bandwagon: Stagecoach North Scotland has been supporting Scottish football for many years and we’re proud of the relationships we have built with Aberdeen, Ross County and Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

“Our people are supporters too. We’re in the stands, we help transport fans to matches every week and we understand just how significant Scotland’s participation in the World Cup is for communities across the north of Scotland.

“We have therefore expanded selected overnight services to help supporters travel where it is practical to do so. At the same time, many of our drivers are football fans themselves and deserve the opportunity to enjoy these historic occasions, so we have carefully balanced customer demand with the wellbeing of our teams.

“We look forward to helping Scotland supporters enjoy the tournament safely and responsibly.”
