Stagecoach will introduce a package of network improvements across Aberdeenshire from 17 August 2026, including a new local service, revised express timetables and changes designed to improve reliability for customers.

A new Service 71/71A will provide links between Banff, Macduff, New Pitsligo, New Aberdour, Rosehearty and Fraserburgh, creating new journey opportunities for local communities.

Customers using the popular express services between Aberdeen, Ellon and Peterhead will also benefit from revised timetables, with more realistic journey times introduced to improve punctuality and reliability.

As part of the changes, a number of council-supported services will transfer to other operators following the outcome of a recent Aberdeenshire Council tender process. These include Services 76, 77, 81, 82A, 83, 84A/C, 231, 301, 303 and Sunday Service 66.

David Beaton, Managing Director for Stagecoach North Scotland, said: "These improvements are focused on providing a more reliable network for our customers while introducing new travel opportunities for communities across north Aberdeenshire.

"While we're pleased to be strengthening parts of our commercial network, some council-supported services will transfer to other operators following Aberdeenshire Council's tender process."

Customers should check the latest timetables before travelling via the Stagecoach website or the Stagecoach Bus app.
