Further casting for His Majesty’s Theatre’s pantomime, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, has been revealed today with acclaimed Scottish theatre actress Jamie Marie Leary starring as Goldilocks and panto legend Anne Smith taking the role of Baroness von Winklebottom.
They will join previously announced Gary: Tank Commander as Gary Barnum, son of circus owner Dame Betty Barnum, played by Aberdeen panto favourite Alan McHugh, and Paul J Corrigan as Daddy Bear.
The line-up has been revealed for the first time in Aberdeen Performing Arts’ new Autumn brochure, with a batch of exciting new shows bound for His Majesty’s Theatre and the Music Hall promising high-stakes drama, thrilling tales and celebratory storytelling.
Beloved drama The King’s Speech will take to the stage at His Majesty’s Theatre from Tuesday, March 9 to Saturday, March 13 2027, and suspenseful thriller Strangers on a Train rolls in to the city theatre from Tuesday, March 30 to Saturday, April 3, 2027.
At the Music Hall, the joyous, irreverent and heart-pounding Ceilidh: The Musical takes over the historic city centre venue from Tuesday, January 19 to Saturday, January 23.

Guy Haines wants rid of his philandering wife Miriam; Charles Bruno wants to see the back of his abusive father. When the two strangers meet each other on an overnight train they hatch the perfect plot to ‘swap’ murders.
For one of them it’s just a joke, but for the other… it’s deadly serious.
In Ceilidh: The Musical, you are invited to step into the heart of one of Scotland's oldest and most beloved traditions in the historic surroundings of the Music Hall. It’s a gathering of songs, stories and dances, all while sharing a dram or two along the way.
Led by a lively caller, you’ll be swept up in a whirlwind of music and memories from the moment you walk through the door. But as the music builds and the night takes hold, a story begins to unfold. A family story. One of love, legacy, and why tonight's ceilidh matters more than most.
This joyous, irreverent, heart-pounding night is created by award-winning duo Scott Gilmour and Claire McKenzie (Noisemaker), and directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Sam Pinkleton (Oh, Mary!).
