Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer has reshuffled his Downing Street team as parliament returns.
Darren Jones, who had been the chief secretary to the Treasury, will now be chief secretary to Starmer himself.
And his Treasury position will be filled by James Murray, previously the exchequer secretary at the department.
That role, in turn, will be taken up by Dan Tomlinson, an economist who was first elected as a Labour MP at last year's general election, the BBC reports.
James Lyons, one of Starmer's communications directors, is also leaving his post having only taken up the role in October last year.
Starmer told the BBC the shake-up would make the centre of government "more powerful" and allow him to drive through his priorities.
