In a statement issued today, Michelle Allan, business development manager, said:
"Skene House Hotels want to reassure you that we are providing the highest standards of quality and customer service to every guest we welcome to our properties. Our guests' health and wellbeing is at the fore-front of all we do, and it’s at the heart of Skene House Hotels' continued success.
"However in these unprecedented times of dealing with the global Coronavirus pandemic, we are actively monitoring updates from public health authorities and the World Health Organisation, and acting immediately on any new advice. As a result, we have put some systems in place to allow you to have as limited contact with others as possible. For instance, we’re requesting guests to avoid paying by cash, instead paying by card remotely, or via contactless.
"Myself and Ashleigh from the business development team, are now working remotely, but we wanted to let you know that Skene House Hotels are still fully operational, and we are here to assist you in any way we can.
"For corporate travel, we are still taking bookings for all necessary travel and are ideally suited due to the fact our offering is separate apartments, with fully fitted kitchens, which will allow our guests to be completely isolated and self-sufficient for the duration of their stay.
"Breakfast provisions will be supplied in the apartment on arrival so that you do not need to mingle with other guests in communal areas, (we have taken the precaution to close our breakfast rooms to ensure the health of our guests). If you do not wish for your apartment to be serviced daily then we will provide cleaning materials, or await instruction for us to clean when required.
"Our long stay residences at Whitehall offer complete seclusion, so if you require isolation simply order your groceries and we will deliver your them to your door, ring the bell and leave the shopping on your doorstep. Our residences provide complete isolation pods, where you can come and go as you choose without having to walk through a main reception area.
