TVP Studios, the production company behind the Stonehaven Fireballs Ceremony 2026 video, is delighted to share that the Stonehaven Fireballs has reached the finals of the 2026 Aberdeen City and Shire Thistle Awards.
The nomination is a significant recognition for one of Scotland’s most distinctive traditions. Held every year since at least the mid-1800s, the Stonehaven Fireballs ceremony is a one-night event, but it takes year-round commitment from the organising committee to make it possible. Its work includes fundraising, health and safety planning, and logistics, all of which help keep the tradition alive.
