The 2018 Summer Season of the award-winning Business Fives’ popular business five-a-side tournament kicks off in Aberdeen this August.
With continued support from Aberdeen and Grampian Chamber of Commerce the Professional Services Event will take place on Thursday, August 16 and the Energy Event will take place on Friday 17th August. The events allow companies a unique opportunity to change the office for the football pitch, turn colleagues into team mates and make some new connections all whilst raising money for charity at the same time.
For the first time they are extending their reach to football loving professionals across five Scottish cities. Business Fives will visit Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen, Dundee and Inverness with 11 events throughout the summer before the National Final on September 26.
The tournament boasts well known ambassadors including former Aberdeen stars Lee Mair and Jim Leighton and BBC pundit Tam McManus along with David Tanner.
The two events will see companies from across Aberdeen try to take the title from the reigning champions, A²+B.
Each business taking part will be asked to nominate a charity partner to play for and will compete not just for the title of champions but for a bumper donation from Business Fives. With an aim to raise more that £25,000 Business Fives will continue to donate 10% of revenue to the champions chosen charity.
A range of companies from the sector have already signed up with Shell, Acumen, Norco Energy, Aberdeen Airport, Bon Accord so far.
