Two of the North-east’s best-known brands have joined forces to create a unique new product.

Mackie’s of Scotland has collaborated with Ellon-based brewer BrewDog to launch Two Scoops – a bold beer brewed using Mackie’s farm-made honeycomb.

The partnership celebrates “craft, creativity and a shared passion for quality,” according to Mackie’s Managing Director Stuart Common.

Two Scoops is now available in all major retailers across the UK.

Writing on LinkedIn, Mr Common added: "We hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed making (and drinking!) it. Cheers to great beer and even better partnerships."

Mackie’s, based at Westertown Farm in Aberdeenshire, is best known for its ice cream, crisps and chocolate, made with renewable energy produced on site. The family business has become one of Scotland’s most recognised food brands, exporting to markets worldwide.

Founded in 2007, BrewDog has grown from a small Ellon start-up into a global craft beer giant, with bars across the world and a reputation for challenging convention in the brewing industry.
