TechFest has officially opened its Call for Ideas for the upcoming Aberdeen Science Festival, inviting businesses, researchers, organisations, and individuals from across the region to help shape this year’s programme.
Powered by TechFest, the Aberdeen Science Festival, which takes place in September, provides a platform to showcase innovation, spark curiosity, and engage audiences of all ages with the science and technology shaping our future. TechFest is seeking creative and engaging proposals that will inform, inspire, and connect communities.
Submissions are welcome from across academia, industry, the creative industries, and even the public! Proposed events may include talks, workshops, panel discussions, exhibitions, interactive demonstrations, or collaborative sessions. Themes may span digital innovation, life sciences, sustainability, climate, health, data, engineering, and beyond.
The Call for Ideas closes on Sunday, 22 March.

TechFest is also keen to partner with organisations interested in sponsoring the festival and playing a key role in inspiring curiosity and confidence in STEM across the region.
Sponsorship offers a valuable opportunity to support a flagship celebration of science and innovation while demonstrating your organisation’s commitment to education, skills, and community engagement.
If your organisation would like to explore involvement, TechFest would welcome the opportunity to start a conversation. For more information, please contact TechFest Managing Director, Dr Martha Gavan, at marthagavan@techfest.org.uk.
