Telecoms specialist connects with new Aberdeen appointments

Telecoms specialist Exchange Communications has announced two fresh appointments at its Aberdeen office as it continues to target exciting new global business opportunities.

Joining the team at its Carden Terrace base is business development manager Craig McCarron who has worked in the telecoms industry for over a decade across a series of management roles, with the likes of BT and Yell.

He will be responsible for sourcing and targeting prospective clients with the purpose of generating sales and building a robust database pipeline.

Craig is expected to develop and maintain customer relationships, focusing on new market growth and strategic partnerships, while offering specialist product advice and knowledge.

Also joining the Aberdeen operation – which announced a new contract with toy giant Hasbro earlier this year – is telesales executive Sonya Byfield who has worked in sales positions for over 25 years.

Her role will involve responsibility for sourcing and identifying prospective clients with a focus on attaining sales appointments, while building on the company’s existing customer base.

Together, they are expected to thrive as part of an ambitious, fast growing team thanks to a genuine desire to secure new business and develop lasting relationships.

Speaking of the appointments, managing director Tom Sime said: “As Exchange Communications continues to expand its global offering, exporting services to 105 countries, we are always identifying new opportunities to reach out to our customers, exceed their expectations, and support them through their digital journey with enhanced value added services.”

“Offering a collective 35 years’ experience, we see Craig and Sonya as playing a major role in that by significantly building on our current capabilities. They will help us to locate and target exciting new opportunities in the Aberdeen area and beyond.”

“As a business that heavily invests in its people and really values the contribution of each team member, these two great appointments also represent a further indicator of our sustained growth ambitions, and investment, in Aberdeen.”

Exchange Communications was established in 1990, and has grown over 27 years to become one of the most successful and largest independent telecommunications companies in the UK.

It works with many Aberdeen based businesses, including Wings Travel Management, Contempo Property, and Aromantic Ltd.

A Scottish exporting success story, the company offers telecoms equipment and expertise to over 100 countries on every continent and more than half of its work is overseas.
